Does that photo make me look like a cool, creative free spirit, because, uh yeah, I totally am. Or at the very least I’m a good enough creative director to tell a (non-creative) friend how to take an interesting picture of me in a Midtown Manhattan bar. Sure, it looks like I might not have hands in this photo; but that was her creative choice and I respect it. It’s what we in the biz call leadership.

Other things you might want to know about me: I found my creative voice doing stand up in North Carolina, honed it over a decade in the ad industry in New York and now there’s almost always at least one spot I wrote running on TV somewhere. I’m very proud of that. And I’d like to do more, with you.

In the meantime, I’ll just be over here in my Brooklyn apartment, sewing my own clothes, serving as a volunteer tax preparer and accusing my boyfriend of purposefully making my dog and cat love him more than me.
